Lynx: Getting Dressed

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

Pretty well done and amusing commercial. I must say I was really impressed with the camera work and the “simple” editing.

Recroom 360

Friday, January 26th, 2007

I took around 50 photos at 6 megapixels and stitched them together to form a 360 degree view at my rec-room.

Click here to see the 2683 pixels wide and 500 pixels tall version. [2.08 MB]

Facts:

  • The photoshop file is 1GB in size because its so detailed!
  • The final image is 19470 pixels wide and 3628 pixels tall.
  • I had no life when I did this Wednesday.
  • I spent so much time stitching, I didn’t bother to go over and touch up corners – so it’s rough.

Walking

Friday, January 26th, 2007

Today I took the skytrain over to the YouthMin office for a meeting, then walked like 15 blocks over to the hospital to meet up with my mom at her work. She was off soon so we walked down to the Westcoast Express together and rode home.

Later I took her out to Future Shop to spend some of the gift certificate money her boss (the doctor) gave her for christmas. She got five $50 gift cards! That’s $250!! Her boss really likes the effort she puts into her work. It’s insane to hear how disorganized the office was before she got there – and today when i got in there, it was ten times more organized than a month ago!

Anyways, today I learned that it’s faster to walk a dozen blocks going north west, than it is to walk a dozen blocks north east.

Quote-Time

I got this one from a friends’ blog:

Aristotle on Friendship: “But complete friendship is the friendship of good people similar in virtue; for they wish goods in the same way to each other in so far as they are good, and they are good in themselves. [Hence they wish goods on each other for each other’s own sake.] Now those who wish goods to their friend for the friend’s own sake are friends most of all; for they have this attitude because of the friend himself, not coincidentally. Hence these people’s friendship lasts as long as they are good; and virtue is enduring.”

And this one from chat with a friend:

The grand essentials of happiness are: something to do, something to love, and something to hope for.
