First Canoeing of the Year

Saturday, March 31st, 2007

I woke up this morning to my mom making a nice warm batch of pancakes =P Man – it’s good to live at home! I went on over to Spencer’s later to do some work – and I took a few shots:

And on the way back, I took a pic of this bus stop cause I promised Christine I’d take a shot of it sometime… She’ll know.

Later on, after some more work and stuff I got bored and because creative enough to take the canoe out with Vanessa for the last hour of sunlight of the day! Second time I got to wear my shorts this year, and the first time I get to use our canoe! Only because the last time I tried to use it in the backyard, we couldn’t find the key… anyways, I brought Jason’s cam along to take some nice shots – hope he won’t mind it was in the canoe with us.

Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday dear Christine!!!
Happy Birthday to you!

… or we could
do this silly version I found
on some website

Happy Birthday to you,
squashed tomatoes and stew,
You look like a monkey,
And you act like one too!

and yes, that is a cake that is in the shape of a turtle. I tried googling Billy Talent Birthday cakes, but nothing came up so I switched to turtle cakes. Happy 19 Christine! Too bad we can’t kick it with you up in Prince George!

Shorts Make Car Shiny

Saturday, March 31st, 2007

I went up to Camp Jubilee today and got to preview it with Clay for the upcoming summer camps this year! Here’s the short that I compiled just now from my footage:

When I got home, I did some work, but later found myself outside on such a nice day. I threw on my shorts for the first time this year and also for another first, I washed my car! It hasn’t been washed since I got it because it was winter =P About 5 months dirt piled up on it, but it really didn’t look too bad at all! It was just when you touch it that your finger comes off black. Anyways, it’s nice and shiny, and here’s a few pics:

Also, I managed to organize moving our tent trailer back into its spot! It was supposed to have been done after we got some maintenance thing or something after camping last year, but it’s been almost 8 months so I figured what the heck. I also did some sawing and tying back some branches on the bushes on the left, and sweeping and shoveling crap off the driveway. It looks much nicer now! Weird to see only my car there, and after I leave, a completely empty driveway for the first time in over 8 months!

Later, I went down to Marten’s place for a shindig to say goodbye for him. He leaves in a week or so and heads back to Germany to work on some film for a producer he knows. I’ll miss Marten!

Millenium Falcon Stop Motion

Thursday, March 29th, 2007

After a long marathon of stop motion, Greg and I have completed the Millenium Falcon getting put together in stop motion. I have a practically full resolution version online that is 80mb to download because nothing less would do it justice.

Please start your downloads people! …and leave us some comments here!

Download the Greatest Stop Motion (perhaps next to A Physical Alteration), EVER!

…if that seems too big – perhaps you should get firefox and install and use the DownThemAll extension!

April 13, 2009: I removed the file from my website, so the link will no longer work.

Still Going

Onto shot 830 on the stop motion… it’s been about 23 hours since we started last night.
