Synopsis

Deloris is at her husbands funeral, left a widow at the end of a long life with John. As she says her final farewells, John, stretched in his casket, wakes up. They resume their lives together, only to realize that something isn't quite right with John. He doesn't eat, he isn't sleeping, and he just can't seem to shake that not so fresh feeling.

More Info

"Rather than going for the absolute gross-out or some OTT dismemberment humor, FRESH just made me feel...sad. An emotion most zombie films don't usually elicit, but this one does. Probably because I saw this less as a zombie short, than a thoughtful study about love...how if you can't learn to move on with your life once love has left and the relationship is permanently over, your obsession can devour you and your life...LITERALLY. Director Wojtowicz may have not intended to leave that impression, but that's what I took from it...which is pretty impressive for a horror short."
